Akamai Author Countdown

Akamai Author Countdown
(akamai- smart, clever, expert)
Samna Ghani, Author of All Aboard

I'm so pleased to welcome author Samna Ghani and to recommend her debut novella, All Aboard.  Ghani's contemporary romance is an entertaining read in the same vein as Bridget Jones's Diary.  Read the Hawaiian word countdown to find out more about Samna and her writing.

Five sentences about my book

Violet Osborne was determined to never let any man get too close to her again. On a dream vacation to Europe, Violet’s world is turned upside down when she meets Reed Kendall, a handsome and dashing playboy.  Trying her best to resist his charms, Violet struggles with the conflict between her brain and her heart. Will she be able to keep her vow of never trusting a man again? Or will she finally find true love?

Four sentences that describe what inspires me.

Romance novels inspire me, especially the classics. I tend to read my favorite authors over and over again and somehow the urge to write multiplies every time I finish a book. Nature inspires me too. Being around the lake or beach.

Three sentences that tell random facts about me.

I am a workaholic/bookaholic.

My Review
When Violet Osborne decided to take a European cruise, she planned to participate in every activity.   What she didn’t plan on was falling for a guy who was a complete womanizer. And until Reed Kendall met Violet, he never planned to stop being a playboy.  Ghani takes us on a rollicking ride while Violet and Reed try to find their way to love.  Violet’s endearing daily diary entries are reminiscent of Bridget Jones.  I recommend All Aboard to anyone who loves contemporary romance.  Rating:  ‘Ehā Hoku (4 Stars)

  1. I'm reading ALL ABOARD right now, and I love how Samna ratchets up the tension - romantic and sexual - between Reed and Violet. I know it's bound to turn out well in then end, but the misunderstandings along the way keep me reading breathlessly. I'm sure this charmer will get four stars from me too.
